What you need to know about our services.
Consignment
- You receive a check for 50% of the net selling price of items once we sell them and are entitled to claim the 50% we keep as a charitable deduction.
- You are responsible for the cost of moving items to Legacies, although we can provide you with names of movers.
- We request that everything be labeled and listed to avoid loss.
- All consignments are by scheduled appointment.
Furniture
For furniture, we generally need to see a photo first to discuss whether we can sell the pieces and price. You are spending your time and money to bring furniture to us and together we want to be sure that it can be sold. To start the process e-mail a photo of the pieces you would like to sell to: EMAIL OR you can stop by the shop with the picture on your camera, phone or even a print out of the picture!
Household or Estate Sale
If you are interested in our services to help you with a whole household or estate sale, we would like to work with you by first setting up a site visit. This is will give us an idea of the number of items needing to be sold and we can make a detailed inventory of the items and their condition.
Items we accept:
The items we decide to help you sell have to have resale potential, which means that all items must be clean and in good working condition. Silver must be polished, upholstered furniture must be clean and glassware sparkling.
We are not able to accept:
- Electronics
- Mattresses
- Clothing
- Appliances
